Lounged on a flourishing hillock of Western Ghats and surrounded by beautiful landscapes, rich history, and coffee plantations, Chikmagalur is a proud host of the tallest peak in Karnataka.

Gudlu is a nature resort in Chikmagalur that offers eight eco-friendly cottages surrounded by hills. This lush green property is spread over 16 acres with a river beside it. There is also a 6-acre lake.

This Chikmagalur resort is completely solar-powered and a perfect weekend getaway for people who love offbeat places near Chikmagalur.

Activities in the resort include Boating, Kayaking, Cycling, Trampoline and rope activities for kids.

Located 40 Kilometers from Chikmagaluru city center, about a 1-hour drive. The nearest town is Mudigere. It is a perfect weekend destination for people looking for a corporate team outing. We can accommodate up to 24 people.

We have historical places near our nature resort. Devaramane and Shishila temples are famous among them. Gudlu is the best resort near Devaramane or a homestay near Mudigere. Both locations have the view and trekking spots. Devaramane viewpoint is very picturesque. Ettina Bhuja ( Shishila Gudda ), a famous trekking destination, is just 15 minutes from Gudlu.

Surrounded by forest, this eco-resort in Mudigere near Chikmagalur is also suitable for a day outing. It can be considered one of the top day outing resorts in Chikmagalur. We can arrange Cricket, volleyball, and any outdoor games on request. We are also couple and pet friendly.

Devaramane falls about 6 kilometers. The closest waterfall is 4 minutes from the property. It can be reached via offroading. Hallakkimane is a must-try off-road place for sunset. Sunrise can be viewed by walking for 10 minutes and climbing a hill near the property.

Our beautiful resort is safe and ideal for a family who wants relaxation. We also can provide the space for a pre-wedding photoshoot and destination wedding. And also a romantic hill resort for honeymoon.

1. What are your charges?

We charge Rs. 4500 per person Inclusive Of Tax ( Above 12 Years) . For kids below 12 years and above 6 years, We charge Rs. 2250.

Starting April 1st, 2024, our price will be Rs. 5000 ( Inclusive Of Tax) on weekends and Rs. 4500 on weekdays. For kids below 12 years and above 6 years, We charge Rs. 2500.

2. What are package inclusions?

The package will include accommodation, food, and activities.

The campfire is private for each family or group.

10. Can we book the whole resort for a Private party?

Yes, we can accommodate up to 30 Adults.

11. What is the maximum occupancy of the cottage?

It can accommodate up to 4 adults. We have a king-size bed and a queen-size sofa cum bed. If more than two adults, our housekeeping team will do the extra bedding in the sofa cum bed to accommodate extra adults.

12. Explaining More about the property?

It is a 16 acres property with six cottages. A complete solar-powered property. There is no mobile network in the cottage. Mobile and Wi-Fi are available in the dining area only.

13. How to call for any service?

We have an intercom facility to reach the kitchen or housekeeping team.

14. What about AC and TV?

There is no television in the room; one can enjoy nature. Also, we don't have an air conditioner in the rooms.

15. What about the campfire?

It is part of the package. Also, a campfire will be arranged separately for you.

Gudlu Resorts is situated near Mudigere Chikmagalur, just 45 to 60 minutes drive from Chikmagalur & 16 Km from Mudigere Town. It is very close to the famous Devaramane.

Devaramane Viw Point is eminent for its Kalabhairaveshwara sanctuary. Arranged on a slope, this little decent sanctuary resembles a seriously old sanctuary and is very much kept up with. The term 'Devaramane' generally means the 'Residence of God' and the quiet serenity that wins here suitably fulfills that classification. There is a lake before the sanctuary and a slope posterior. The course prompting the sanctuary gives us the hypnotizing perspective on the slopes around and the street is in great condition. Around 200 m from the sanctuary, there is a perspective called Devaramane perspective that offers a few all encompassing perspectives on the lavish green environmental factors, sputtering streams, and sparkling lakes.

Ettina Bhuja (literally translates to Ox’s Shoulder, in Kannada), is located close to the temple town of Dharmasthala. Byrapura village in Mudigere range of Chickmagalur district to be exact. About 250km from Bangalore, it makes for a good weekend trip away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Although it’s not a popular trail among trekkers, Ettina Bhuja offers scenic landscapes at about 1300m altitude and features a mosaic of grassland and forest patches in undulating terrain. One can find bamboo and cane plantations on the way to the top. Trek along this pleasant terrain to the sound of chirping birds in the lap of nature. Once you reach the top which looks like the hump of an ox, feast yourself to panoramic views of dense green forests.
